MTN invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Trainee Corporate Affairs Learnership Vacancies (Multiple Posts Available). The closing date for applications is 23 December 2025. This opportunity is perfect for young graduates who want to gain real workplace experience while building a strong foundation in corporate affairs within one of Africa’s biggest telecommunications groups.
This learnership is not just about learning theory. It is about being part of real projects, real meetings, and real decisions that shape how a major organisation communicates, operates, and grows. If you are serious about starting a professional career and want exposure to a high-level corporate environment, this programme is worth your attention.
The MTN Trainee Corporate Affairs Learnership is designed for graduates who are ready to step into the working world and learn how a large corporate organisation operates behind the scenes. As a trainee, you will work closely with the Corporate Affairs team at Bayobab, supporting daily operations, projects, and strategic initiatives.
This role focuses on administration, coordination, communication support, and project assistance. You will not just be watching from the sidelines. You will actively contribute, learn new skills, and grow your confidence in a professional setting.
As a trainee, you will be expected to support the team during strategic meetings and planning sessions. This includes preparing documents, taking notes, and sharing ideas when required. You will also help with projects that support transformation and improvement across the business.
You may be asked to assist with company-wide initiatives, help coordinate meetings with different stakeholders, and ensure that tasks move forward smoothly and on time.
You will help with various internal and global projects by preparing reports, tracking progress, and sharing updates with the team. This includes typing reports in the correct format, preparing status updates, and ensuring information is accurate and easy to understand.
From time to time, you will also report directly to your line manager on project progress, challenges, and achievements.
A big part of this role involves helping with presentations and communication materials. You will research information, help create presentations, edit content, and make sure everything meets MTN’s corporate communication standards.
You will also assist in gathering information for reports that are shared with senior management, other departments, and sometimes external partners. Following up with people to make sure information is submitted on time will be part of your daily tasks.
Another important responsibility is helping to organise and manage information. You will assist with updating knowledge bases, making sure documents are easy to find, and helping staff answer common questions.
You may also help create training materials, contract annexes, business documents, and governance-related content. This exposure gives you a strong understanding of how corporate documentation works.
This role includes a variety of administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, organising documents, and supporting daily office operations. You will be expected to plan your work, manage your time well, and stay organised even when things get busy.
Good coordination skills are important, as you will work with people from different teams and departments, sometimes across different countries.
MTN places high value on quality and professionalism. As a trainee, you will be expected to meet deadlines, follow company policies, and work within set budgets. Accuracy, attention to detail, and timely reporting are very important.
You will also be expected to live the MTN values, which include leadership, innovation, strong relationships, integrity, and a positive “can-do” attitude.
