NECSA invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) N6 Engineering Programme Vacancies. The closing date for applications is 28 November 2025. This programme is designed for young South Africans who are ready to take the next step in their technical careers and gain the practical experience they need to graduate.
If you’re a TVET graduate who has completed your N6 theory and still needs hands-on training, this opportunity may be the boost you have been waiting for. NECSA’s Work-Integrated Learning programme gives you real workplace exposure, helping you turn classroom knowledge into practical skills that employers look for. It is a chance to grow your confidence, learn from experts, and understand how real engineering environments function.
Many TVET graduates struggle to find the practical training required to complete their qualifications. NECSA’s Work-Integrated Learning programme is built to bridge that gap by providing structured, supervised workplace experience. Instead of only learning through books, you get to apply your knowledge in real situations, solve actual problems, use professional tools, and work with experienced mentors.
This programme helps you build strong technical abilities, but it also develops your personal strengths—such as discipline, teamwork, communication, and responsibility. These qualities are important in every engineering job, and they make a big difference when you begin job hunting.
This opportunity is open to unemployed South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 35. You must be a TVET student who has already completed the theoretical part of your N6 qualification. Your college must give you a letter that confirms you have completed your theory and still need practical experience before you can graduate.
You must be applying for practical training in one of the following N6 Engineering fields:
These fields form the backbone of South Africa’s technical industry, and getting workplace exposure in any of them can open doors to well-paying jobs, apprenticeships, or future learnerships.
NECSA wants young people who take their future seriously. To succeed in this programme, you should have strong interpersonal skills and show good professionalism. You must be someone who keeps their word, shows respect, and maintains integrity in the workplace.
You must also be able to work under pressure because engineering environments often require fast thinking and meeting important deadlines. Being ambitious and willing to learn will help you grow in this programme. NECSA also looks for candidates who can think carefully about problems and who are ready to work hard in everything they do.
Before you send your application, keep the following points in mind:
These rules help make sure that opportunities reach people who truly need them and have not previously benefited from similar NECSA programmes.

No hand-delivered applications will be accepted. Make sure you submit everything before Friday, 28 November 2025, as late applications will not be considered.
If you do not hear from NECSA within 30 days after the closing date, you should assume your application was unsuccessful.

This is your chance to gain real workplace experience, complete your qualification, and step confidently into the engineering world. If you meet all the requirements, apply as soon as possible and give yourself the opportunity to grow your skills and your future.
