What You’ll Do as a Medical Receptionist

As a Medical Receptionist, you’ll be the face of our Carlswald Clinic, welcoming patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism. You’ll handle the entire admissions process, manage queries from various stakeholders, and ensure that every patient feels valued and well cared for from the moment they step through our doors.

Your role is crucial in maintaining the clinic’s reputation for excellent customer service. You’ll be a Brand Ambassador for Medicross, embodying our commitment to person-centered care and ensuring that every interaction reflects our dedication to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Admissions: Manage the full admissions process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in handling patient information.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional, person-centered service that aligns with our values of CARE, TRUTH, PARTICIPATION, COMPASSION, and DIGNITY.
Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks, including managing the switchboard, processing billing, and handling pay point responsibilities.
Stakeholder Interaction: Address and resolve queries from patients, families, and other stakeholders promptly and professionally.

What You Need to Succeed

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

Education: Matric or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification is essential. A Higher Certificate (NQF level 5) is preferred.
Experience: At least 1-2 years of reception experience in a hospital or clinic environment is required.
Skills: You should have intermediate computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. Knowledge of Medical Schemes will give you an added advantage.
