What Will You Be Doing as a Buyers Assistant?

As a Buyers Assistant at Checkers, your job is to support the Buyer (the person who helps choose and order the products you see in stores). You’ll do this by handling important data and keeping everything organised behind the scenes.

Here’s a look at what you’ll be doing every day:

Capturing important buying data like prices, costs, stock levels, and store orders into the company system.
Filing documents so that everything is easy to find when needed.
Making sure product details are up to date – including things like ranging instructions and store allocations.
Requesting supplier and store reports to help the team make better decisions.
Handling store queries by email or phone (Don’t worry – you’ll be trained).
Typing emails, answering calls, setting appointments, and helping the Buyer with admin tasks.

What You Need to Apply

The minimum requirement for this job is a Grade 12 (Matric certificate). That’s it.

But if you’ve ever worked in an office doing data capturing or admin work, that will definitely help. It’s not a must-have, but it gives you an advantage.
