Spar invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Permanent Cashier Vacancies (X2 Posts) At Superspar Midrand. The closing date for applications is the 30th October 2024

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To serve customers by ringing up customer purchases accurately and courteously,

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Operating and maintaining Front End Equipment including POS terminal, Debit card terminal, speed point etc
• Scanning items purchased by customer
• Replenish consumables
• Cash up takings
• Ensuring float and daily taking balance on a daily basis
• Maintaining adequate change at all times
• Depositing cash note into the smart box throughout the day
• Treat all products handled at the front end with care
• Develop friendly but professional relationships with customers.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

• Matric plus previous cashier experience as a part time cashier or trainee
• Knowledge of arithmetic calculations
• Reading and comprehension skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Time management
