📋 Job Description
As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for operating all packaging equipment to ensure smooth, efficient, and effective packaging processes. Your role is essential in achieving targets related to productivity, cost, quality, safety, and morale.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
Operation:
- Efficiently operate packaging equipment to meet targets.
- Check equipment availability for start-up.
- Start up, operate, and shut down equipment as per standard operating procedures.
- Prepare and perform changeovers according to the production plan.
- Conduct shift handovers at the end of each shift.
- Clean workstations and equipment as per procedures and schedules.
- Participate in shift meetings and provide feedback on equipment performance.
- Handover to incoming shift operators.
Maintenance:
- Perform first-line maintenance on packaging equipment.
- Follow scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Report and record faults and deviations on machines.
- Adhere to safe work procedures.
- Engage in asset care initiatives like CILT and TPM.
Safety, Health, and Environment:
- Comply with SHE standards and requirements for safe operations.
- Report unsafe conditions and accidents.
- Follow safe work procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Dispose of waste according to the waste handling program.
- Participate in safety meetings and committees.
- Ensure department compliance with company SHE standards and the OHS Act.
Compliance:
- Adhere to quality standards for packaging quality beverages.
- Conduct quality checks on packaging processes.
- Monitor packaging equipment control parameters.
- Support quality initiatives and maintain records for auditing.
- Follow and maintain requirements and procedures of the Quality Systems Sedibeng Brewery subscribes to, including ISO standards and OHSAS 18001.

🎓 Qualifications and Experience
