The programme runs for 10 months starting from the date you’re hired. You will receive a monthly stipend of R7,450.63. That means you’ll be gaining experience and earning at the same time.

Who Can Apply?

To be considered for this job, you need to:

Have a 3-year tertiary qualification in Psychology or Industrial Psychology (NQF Level 6/7).
Having an Honours Degree in these fields is a plus.
Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Registered Counsellor or Psychometrist (Independent Practice) is also an advantage.

What Will You Do on the Job?

If selected, here’s what you’ll be doing every day:

Help with admin duties in the counselling office.
Study the job market to understand what jobs are needed.
Assist in the recruitment and selection of workers.
Work with different partners to make sure services are high-quality.
Help register work seekers who are looking for jobs.
