Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Planner at Rainbow, your main duties will include:

Maintenance Planning & Cost Analysis – Plan and track maintenance tasks while monitoring costs to reduce unnecessary expenses.
Generating Reports – Produce detailed reports on maintenance, safety, risk, and skill utilization to prevent repeated breakdowns.
Data Bank Setup & Maintenance – Maintain accurate records of assets, spare parts, and materials.
Asset, Spares & Material Management – Ensure the right materials and spares are available when needed.
Service & Customer Focus – Provide timely feedback and maintain strong communication with teams and clients.
Training & Assistance Planning – Plan and coordinate training for staff to improve skills and safety compliance.

Required Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, applicants should have:

Grade 12 with C aggregates in Mathematics and Science.
A technical qualification, diploma, or artisan certification (T4/S4/N6) – this is an advantage.
A financial qualification in accounting is also advantageous.

These qualifications ensure that the candidate has both the technical know-how and financial understanding to plan and manage maintenance operations effectively.

Required Experience

Rainbow is looking for candidates with practical experience, including:

2 to 3 years supervisory experience, showing you can lead and manage teams effectively.
2 to 3 years in asset and asset care management, ensuring familiarity with maintaining machinery and equipment.
Auditing experience is an added advantage, helping with compliance and risk management.
