What You’ll Be Doing Each Day

Here’s a breakdown of what your day-to-day tasks will look like:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and helpful way
• Operate the cash register and accurately handle all transactions
• Help customers pick products and promote special deals
• Answer phone calls and solve customer queries quickly
• Keep shelves neat, organized, and fully stocked
• Check price tags and set up eye-catching displays
• Assist with stock deliveries and make sure products are stored properly
• Help with cleaning and organizing the store
• Support the manager during stock takes
• Keep track of equipment and follow health and safety rules
• Process both cash and card payments with no errors
• Handle daily banking duties with responsibility
• Understand the sales goals and help the team reach them
• Be part of plans to reduce stock loss and improve profits

What You Need to Apply

You don’t need a college degree to get this job — but you do need the following:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Experience in:
  • Cashiering
  • Retail
  • Sales
  • Customer service
  • Working as a store assistant or store associate
• Must live within 15km of the store location
• Must have a clear criminal record
