Build Your Future with SANRAL’s 2025 Learnership Programme

Finding a job in today’s world can be tough, especially for young people who don’t have any work experience yet. That’s why SANRAL, with its trusted partners, is offering this incredible opportunity to help young South Africans gain real skills, work experience, and a nationally recognized qualification.

This programme is fully funded by the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA), and is aimed at unemployed youth in Butterworth, Eastern Cape (Mnquma Local Municipality). Whether you dream of working on large construction projects or starting your own business one day, this learnership will help you build a solid foundation for your future.

What Makes This Learnership So Special?

This is not just classroom learning. The SANRAL Learnership Programme gives you both theoretical training and real on-the-job experience. You’ll work on actual construction sites, guided by experts who will teach you how things work in the real world. This way, when you complete the programme, you’ll already have valuable work experience that many employers are looking for.

The programme doesn’t only help you get a job—it helps you build a career.

Programmes You Can Apply For

There are three different qualifications you can work towards, depending on your interest and current education level:

  • National Certificate: Construction Contracting (Level 2)
  • National Certificate: Building and Construction (Level 3)
  • Further Education and Training Certificate: Supervision of Construction Processes (Level 4)

All these qualifications are fully accredited and meet CETA standards. That means your certificate will be recognized across the country and can open doors for many job opportunities.

What Will You Do During the Learnership?

As a participant, your role will include:

  • Attending all scheduled classes and practical sessions.
  • Working directly on real construction projects under supervision.
