About the Sasol Electrical Maintenance Operator Role

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics, Science, and English OR an N3 Certificate (mandatory).
  • NQF Level 2 Electrical occupational qualification from an accredited SETA or recognized training authority (mandatory).
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance or industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities

As part of Sasol’s maintenance team, you will be responsible for:

  • Prioritizing safety by following strict health, safety, and environmental rules.
  • Participating in root cause analyses (RCA) to identify and solve system problems.
  • Attending daily planning meetings to align with operational priorities.
  • Conducting plant inspections and scheduled electrical maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
  • Providing detailed reports and feedback to supervisors and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area by following waste management procedures.
  • Carrying out IMS inspections to ensure compliance and strengthen safety practices.
  • Identifying risks, faults, and opportunities for system improvements.
  • Participating in training courses and development programmes for continuous growth.
