What Is the Sasol PV Solar Training Programme?

The Sasol PV Solar Training Programme 2025 is a fast-paced, practical, and fully accredited training course that prepares youth for careers in solar energy. In just 4 weeks, learners are trained in the basics of solar power systems, how to install and maintain them, and how to troubleshoot common problems.

This programme is backed by SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority) and aligned with Energy and Water SETA standards — meaning your training is recognized and respected nationally.

But it’s more than just training. You’ll also receive a monthly stipend, get hands-on experience, and even access support for jobs and starting your own solar business.

Who Can Apply?

This programme is ideal for young South Africans who are serious about entering the green energy space. Here’s what you need to qualify:

Be a South African citizen
Be between 18 and 35 years old
Be unemployed and available to train full-time for 4 weeks
Have Matric with Maths and Science, or an N3 Electrical Engineering qualification

Preference is given to previously disadvantaged individuals, as the programme aims to build a more inclusive and skilled energy workforce.
