SASSA Graduate Internship Programs 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is looking for talented individuals to join their team in the North West region. Position: Practitioner – Facilities Management & Auxiliary Services

Salary: R376 413.00 – R443 403.00 per annum (exclusive of benefits)
Location: Regional Office: Mahikeng
Reference Number: SAS NW 34/2024

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: National Diploma (NQF 6) or Degree (NQF 7) in Property Development and Management, Facilities Management, or related fields.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical infrastructure needs assessments.
  • Assist in acquiring local offices and renewing leases.
  • Monitor projects and draft reports.
  • Manage service delivery improvement projects.
  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance and repairs of buildings.
  • Manage service level agreements for leases in consultation with District management.
  • Conduct site inspections and maintain asset registers.
  • Coordinate and monitor payments of monthly rentals and municipal services.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
  • Supervise, manage performance, and develop staff.

Graduate Internship Program (14-Month Contract)

SASSA is also offering Graduate Internship opportunities for unemployed graduates across South Africa. This is a fantastic chance to gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment.

Stipend: R7450.75 per month

Age Requirement: 18-35 years
Citizenship: South African

  1. Human Capital Management (Ref No: Intern SAS 35/2024)
    • Qualification: Recognised NQF 6/7 Qualification in Office Administration/Management or Secretarial Qualification.
  2. Facility Auxiliary and Support Services (Ref No: Intern SAS 36/2024)
    • Qualification: Recognised NQF 6/7 Qualification in Archives and Record Management/Management specializing in Record Management.

Eligibility:

  • Must have completed studies at a recognized/accredited institution of higher learning in South Africa.
  • Must not be currently registered for further studies coinciding with the internship.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who align with SASSA’s Employment Equity targets.
