Position Details

  • Position: Senior Legal Administration Officer
  • Salary: R586,956.00 – R659,436.00 per annum (as per OSD for Legal Administration Officers)

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • An LLB Degree or relevant B Degree in Law.
  • At least 8 years post-graduate experience in Law.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Senior Legal Administration Officer at SASSA, your daily duties will include:

  • Implementing contract policies and procedures.
  • Managing contracts and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Interpreting legislation and providing guidance on its application.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and vetting legal contracts.
  • Managing litigation and supporting the organisation in legal disputes.
  • Providing both oral and written legal opinions.
  • Handling debt collection processes.
  • Supporting Labour Relations matters in the workplace.
  • Delivering training on legislation to internal staff when needed.
