What Do You Need to Qualify?

To qualify for this role, you’ll need:

A valid Surf Lifeguard Award or a similar certification that shows you’re trained for lifesaving.
At least one year of experience in a lifeguard position.
Proof that you’ve completed an annual lifeguard retest for the 2024/2025 season.
The ability to speak at least two of the three official languages in the Kouga area: Afrikaans, English, or Xhosa.
