As a Kitchen Deep Clean Assistant, you’ll be part of the Servest Hygiene Operations team, helping to ensure food safety by delivering top-quality deep cleaning services in commercial kitchens. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, teamwork, and takes pride in maintaining high hygiene standards.

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must:

Have at least a Grade 10 certificate or a related qualification
Be able to read and write fluently
Understand basic hygiene practices
Have good communication skills
Know how to plan, organize, and follow instructions
Knowledge of cleaning products and tools is a plus
Experience as a hygiene service technician or with specialized cleaning is advantageous
Basic understanding of health and safety (OHS) is preferred
Attention to detail is a must

What You’ll Be Doing – Duties & Responsibilities

This job is about deep cleaning kitchens to ensure they are safe, hygienic, and ready to use. Your daily tasks will include:

1. Preparation & Setup

Clear all food and kitchenware from cleaning zones
Put up safety signs like “Wet Floor”
Prepare and mix cleaning chemicals safely

2. Surface & Equipment Cleaning

Clean and disinfect kitchen surfaces: floors, walls, splashbacks
Scrub countertops, sinks, and preparation areas
Deep clean kitchen equipment: ovens, fryers, grills, etc.

3. Detail Cleaning

Take apart and clean removable parts of kitchen appliances
Clean under and behind heavy kitchen equipment
Remove grease, grime, and scale buildup from pipes and taps

4. Waste Management

Remove all waste, grease, and dirty water
Sanitize bins and waste areas

5. Safety Compliance

Wear proper protective gear (PPE) at all times
Report damaged tools or safety issues

6. Final Inspection & Reset

Help with final checks to ensure cleanliness
Put all tools, equipment, and utensils back where they belong
Leave the kitchen spotless and ready for use

7. Teamwork & Communication

Work closely with your Team Leader
