Interns will assist in coordinating skills development programmes in line with Services SETA guidelines. This includes helping with planning, organising, monitoring, and tracking training activities, workshops, and related initiatives.
You will help organise training sessions and workshops by managing logistics, schedules, and documentation. This gives you exposure to how training programmes are delivered and evaluated.
Interns will assist with arranging stakeholder meetings, forums, and events that promote skills development. This includes preparing documents, coordinating venues, and ensuring communication reaches all relevant parties.
A key part of this role is working with learner information. Interns will help collect, capture, and compile data related to learners and skills programmes. You will assist with uploading learner details onto the Learner Management System and ensuring that all information is correct.
Interns will assist in compiling reports on project implementation and learner progress. This includes preparing monthly learner statistics reports, which are important for monitoring performance and compliance.
You will receive documents from supervisors or team members and check them for accuracy and completeness. Attention to detail is very important in this part of the role.
Interns will assist with the evaluation and accreditation process of training providers. This includes helping prepare and maintain accreditation documents and supporting quality assurance activities.
You will assist with issuing and verifying certificates and maintaining records of certified learners and organisations. This ensures that all certifications meet required standards.
The role also involves assisting in evaluating and approving workplace training environments. Interns help prepare and maintain documentation related to workplace approvals.
Interns will provide administrative support to ensure the department runs efficiently. This includes answering calls, handling enquiries, receiving and sending correspondence, and ensuring important documents are delivered on time.
You will help develop and maintain filing systems, databases, and departmental records. Keeping information organised and easy to access is a critical part of this role.
Interns will assist with compiling meeting agendas, distributing them to stakeholders, and communicating changes to meeting schedules. You may also help coordinate travel documents for the department.
