Your role will involve the procurement and building of the footwear range in line with company strategies, adding strategic value to the brand.

  • Essential: Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • Advantageous: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field.

πŸ’‘ Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential:

  • Minimum of 5 years proven retail experience in footwear buying/procurement or experience within the footwear manufacturing environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of footwear constructions and materials.
  • Proficiency in the latest Google packages (Slides & Sheets).
  • Ability to travel internationally.

Desirable:

  • Passion for staying updated with the latest trends.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Assertive and deadline-focused.

  1. Achieve Financial Goals: Exceed the Company’s inflow margin and GP Rands as outlined in seasonal business plan meetings.
  2. Seasonal Strategy: Drive and execute the seasonal product and purchasing strategy.
  3. Trend Research: Research and understand seasonal trends in line with the target market.
  4. Product Range: Build a competitive product range according to the purchasing strategy.
  5. Supplier Management: Source and select the correct supplier for the appropriate product category and manage them according to Company policies and procedures.
  6. Procurement Administration: Execute procurement administration timely to meet target dates in the critical supply chain path.
  7. Quality Compliance: Ensure compliance with agreed quality specifications and standards.
  8. Cross-Functional Partnerships: Develop and influence partnerships with all specified key relationships.
