About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Driving and Delivery

• Operate the soup truck safely to deliver soups to assigned locations.
• Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Adhere to all food safety and transport regulations during deliveries.

Customer Service

• Engage with customers at delivery points in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide information about the soups and respond to customer inquiries.
• Ensure each customer has a positive and enjoyable experience.

Truck Maintenance

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good working order.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report issues to management.

Inventory Management

• Assist with loading and unloading food supplies and inventory.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies.

Safety Compliance

• Follow traffic laws and all health and safety guidelines.
• Ensure food products remain safe and of high quality during transport.

Additional Duties

• Be prepared to work on weekends as required.
• Support kitchen and management staff where necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

Education & Experience

• Minimum Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Previous driving or food delivery experience preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Code 10 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is an advantage.

Skills and Attributes

• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local routes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math skills for managing cash and inventory records.
• Attention to detail in following delivery procedures and maintaining food quality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy items and be on your feet for long periods.
