About the Role

The Student Recruiter will play a key role in recruiting learners nationally. This position focuses on managing the entire recruitment process to ensure everything runs smoothly and complies with company and stakeholder expectations.

Your main responsibility will be to find, vet, and onboard learners into workplace and training programmes across South Africa. This includes everything from advertising positions, screening candidates, conducting background checks, and matching learners with the right opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Needed

To qualify for this learnership, you must meet the following requirements:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge and proficiency.
  • At least 3 years of recruitment experience (essential).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a learnership environment.

This role requires someone who is highly organized, professional, and experienced in handling recruitment processes from start to finish.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Recruitment of Learners

  • Oversee the capturing and management of recruitment documentation.
  • Keep accurate records of candidate learners and host companies.
  • Match learners to appropriate learning programmes and workplace hosts.
  • Ensure all recruitment processes comply with company standards and procedures.
  • Advertise available positions with complete and accurate details.
  • Maintain and update a database of CVs, using both internal systems and online platforms.
  • Conduct background checks and reference verifications for all candidates.
  • Make sure all checks are completed before onboarding learners.
  • Coordinate orientation programmes and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Manage all interview documentation and scheduling.
  • Develop and use a Q&A checklist to ensure recruitment policies are followed nationwide.

2. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings when required.
  • Promote Signa Group in communities and networks to attract top learners.
  • Actively manage relationships with local community stakeholders to source talent.

3. Reporting

  • Provide detailed reports on recruitment progress and learner placements.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping on the LMS system.
  • Submit weekly and monthly reports to management.
