Minimum Requirements You Must Meet Before Applying

General Requirements

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must have no criminal record
  • You must be able to speak at least two official languages, with English as one of them

  • You must have Grade 10 (NQF Level 3) or higher

Duties You Will Perform as a SAPS Security Officer

Controlling Access to SAPS Premises

  • Checking IDs of everyone entering

  • Recording names of staff, visitors, and contractors

Searching and Screening

  • Checking people and goods that enter and leave
  • Making sure no dangerous or banned items pass through

Patrolling and Guarding
