Requirements:

Must display competency in post-specific core functions
Fluency in at least two official languages, one of which must be English
South African citizenship
No previous criminal/departmental convictions or pending cases

Will undergo vetting, security screening, and fingerprint verification
Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (NQF level 4)
PSIRA registration with at least a Grade C security certificate or higher
No unfitness declaration to possess a firearm

Willing to undergo and maintain firearm competency
Advantage: Degree/Diploma in security, relevant security courses, valid driver’s license
Willing to work shifts and extended hours

Duties:

Execute Access Control as per the Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act
Positive identification and registration of employees, visitors, and contractors
Authorize entry to premises after complying with legislative requirements
Issue and collect admission control cards to visitors

Check suppliers, articles, and objects to ensure the safety of premises
Patrol buildings and fenced areas, guard vehicles and equipment
Report security issues to senior personnel
