📌 What Does a SPAR Cashier Do?

As a Cashier, your main job is to process customer purchases accurately and professionally. You’ll be the face of the store, ensuring every customer has a great experience!

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Operate cash register systems, including:

Point of Sale (POS) terminals
Debit/Credit Card machines
Speedpoint, Veri-cheque, Smartbox, and Zip Zap systems

✔️ Handle different payment types, such as:

Cash
Bank cards
Cheques
Gift vouchers
Pensioner’s cards

✔️ Maintain stock & store hygiene:

Follow store safety and cleanliness rules
Keep your cashier station organized
Ensure all products have correct pricing

✔️ Deliver top-notch customer service:

Greet customers warmly
Handle transactions efficiently
Answer basic product-related questions

📝 Who Can Apply?

🔹 Minimum Requirements:

Matric certificate (NQF Level 4)
Previous cashier experience (even as a trainee or part-time worker) is a bonus but NOT required!
