What You’ll Do:

As an Assistant Store Manager at SPAR Lowveld, you’ll be in charge of running the Supermarket and Fresh Departments, including Bakery, Butchery, Fruits, Vegetables, and Take Away. Your job will be to make sure everything runs smoothly and profitably. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Team Management: Lead and manage the team to meet key performance goals.

Stock Management: Handle the range and stock effectively.

Supplier Management: Work with suppliers for products and equipment.

Customer Service: Ensure top-notch service for our customers.

Safety & Compliance: Make sure Food Safety and OHS standards are met.

Store Operations: Keep the store running at high standards and compliance.

Store Manager Support: Step in when the Store Manager is on leave.

What You Need:

Education: Matric (a retail qualification is a plus).

Experience: 3-4 years in a senior store management role.

Skills: Strong decision-making, excellent communication, and a knack for building relationships with staff and customers.

Personal Traits: Self-starter with a passion for entrepreneurial thinking and assertiveness.

Availability: Willing to work irregular hours and relocate if needed.

License: Valid SA driver’s license and own transport.
