About the Role: Customer Engagement Assistant

The Customer Engagement Assistant plays a key role in ensuring that every Mr D Food customer receives top-quality service and support. You’ll be part of a young, dynamic team that handles customer queries through multiple channels, including social media, email, and phone.

Your mission? To make sure every customer issue is solved quickly, kindly, and effectively — turning every complaint into a positive experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Customer Engagement Assistant, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Handling customer complaints and queries by identifying problems and finding quick, effective solutions.
  • Using various software tools to access customer accounts, review details, and provide accurate feedback.
  • Liaising with internal teams (like restaurants, drivers, and operations) to resolve customer issues.
  • Monitoring social media platforms and responding to customers’ posts or messages on Mr D Food’s pages.
  • Tracking customer satisfaction and suggesting improvements where needed.
  • Following up to make sure every customer’s issue is fully resolved.

You’ll be the bridge between customers and the Mr D Food team — helping to keep service levels high and customers happy.


What You’ll Need to Qualify

To apply for this position, you should have:

  • A Senior Certificate (Matric) or higher qualification.
  • At least 12 months of customer service experience.
  • Strong communication skills — both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and public holidays.
  • Good computer skills, including MS Excel, MS Outlook, and internet browsers.

Experience in a customer-facing or call centre environment will be a strong advantage.
