About the Job

As a Courier Controller, your main task is to manage courier service partners and ensure they meet agreed-upon performance standards. You will also monitor daily delivery operations, track and report delivery issues, and make sure everything runs smoothly from the warehouse to the customer’s door.

This role reports directly to the Courier Service Manager at M24 Logistics.

Minimum Requirements

To apply, you’ll need:

• A Post-Matric qualification in logistics or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in distribution and 3PL (third-party logistics) environments

Key Responsibilities

As a Courier Controller, your daily tasks will include:

• Managing and evaluating courier service providers to ensure high performance
• Overseeing delivery operations, scheduling, and tracking daily activities
• Monitoring and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Handling and resolving delivery problems, customer complaints, and delays
• Operating and aligning courier systems with Takealot’s internal systems to ensure accuracy
• Analyzing failed deliveries, identifying root causes, and recommending fixes
• Evaluating loss/damage claims and forwarding them for management approval
• Reconciling transport accounts and confirming payment amounts match agreed rates
• Recommending innovative courier and fulfillment solutions to improve service

Must-Have Skills

You’ll succeed in this role if you have:

• SAP Order Capturing experience – accurately capturing orders and maintaining data integrity
• Advanced Excel skills – especially VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas
• Sharp attention to detail – avoid costly errors and delays
• Critical thinking – solve delivery and operational issues quickly
• Strong communication skills – confidently engage with courier partners and internal teams
