What is the Sales Supervisor Job All About?

As a Sales Supervisor, you won’t just sell shoes. You’ll help run the store, motivate your team, and make sure customers get top service every time they walk in. You will work closely with the Store Manager and lead the floor staff, helping them meet daily sales targets while following Tekkie Town’s procedures.

Main Responsibilities

If you get this job, these will be some of your daily duties:

Help the Store Manager achieve monthly sales budgets.
Keep store administration running smoothly and according to company rules.
Monitor stock losses and make sure they stay low.
Ensure that brand standards are always met and customers have a great shopping experience.
Implement promotions and maintain visual merchandising displays.
Stay up-to-date with new stock arrivals and help with unpacking.
Manage sales processes, orders, and customer payments.
Motivate and supervise staff to meet their daily targets.
Train, coach, and support new and current Sales Assistants.
Take charge of the store when the Store Manager is not available.
Make sure all employees follow Tekkie Town’s Standard Operating Procedures.
Open and close the store when required.

What You Need to Qualify

Before you apply, make sure you meet these basic requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric certificate)
Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

Experience & Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

1 to 2 years of experience as a Senior Sales Assistant or 3IC in retail.
Fluent in English and at least one other official South African language.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Strong selling and leadership abilities.
Good with planning, organizing, and time management.
Able to think logically and analyze problems.
High energy and driven to succeed.
Can work alone or as part of a team.
Great at customer service and building relationships with customers.
