Minimum Qualifications

Experience and Skills

  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience working in retail, preferably as a Senior Sales Assistant
  • Ability to speak and write English, plus another official South African language
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with customers and staff

What You Will Be Doing

The Sales Supervisor has a wide range of responsibilities, all designed to keep the store performing well. Below are the key tasks the successful candidate will handle:

Support Store Targets

One of the main duties is helping the Store Manager meet monthly sales and profit goals. When the store performs well, everyone benefits, and the supervisor plays a key part in this success.

Manage Store Administration

The Sales Supervisor must make sure all store paperwork, reporting, and record keeping follow Tekkie Town’s standard operating procedures. Accuracy and organization are essential.

Prevent Stock Loss

Keeping stock loss below set standards is another important responsibility. This means paying attention to stock movement, spotting risks, and helping the team follow the right procedures.

Maintain Brand Standards

Customers expect a certain level of service and presentation when they walk into a Tekkie Town store. The Sales Supervisor helps ensure the store looks good, shelves are well stocked, displays are neat, and promotions are carried out properly.

Stay Updated on New Stock

Retail moves fast, and new stock arrives regularly. The supervisor oversees the unpacking process and makes sure the store is always current with new arrivals and seasonal trends.

Lead Daily Sales Activity

The role includes guiding the team through their daily sales tasks, checking orders and payments, coordinating processes, and ensuring the store gives customers a great shopping experience. Supervising and motivating staff to hit targets is a major part of this job.

Coach and Develop Staff

Run the Store When Needed

In the absence of the Store Manager, the Sales Supervisor must handle the store independently. This includes opening, closing, and making sure everything operates as normal.
