Who Can Apply?

To qualify for this opportunity, you must:

✅ Be aged 18 to 29 years old.
✅ Have Matric (preferred, but not always required).
✅ Be unemployed and willing to work on a 12-month fixed contract.
✅ Not have worked permanently for one employer for more than 1 year.
✅ Not be studying full time from September 2025 – August 2026.
✅ Not have participated in the YES Programme before.
✅ Live in or near these areas: Tembisa, Bredell, Kempton Park.
✅ Be responsible for your own accommodation and transport.

Key Responsibilities

As a Distribution Centre Associate, your main duties will include:

Delivering customer orders correctly and on time.
Assisting customers with collections.
Assembling and preparing customer items.
Handling paperwork and ensuring proof of delivery (POD) is signed.
Loading and offloading goods.
Receiving, quality checking, and storing stock.
Picking stock for customer orders.
Performing stock counts and cycle counts.
Handling customer returns with proper wrapping and labeling.
Assisting with quality checks and repairs on customer items.
Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organisation.
Counting tools and managing their issuing.

This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a customer-first attitude.

Qualifications and Experience

Matric certificate (essential; a tertiary qualification is an advantage).
Experience in customer service is beneficial.
Experience in warehousing or distribution centres is a strong advantage.
Willingness to work under pressure and put in extra hours when needed.

Skills Needed

Strong organisational skills.
Good communication and writing ability.
Ability to manage customer value and provide excellent service.
