This company is built on respect, teamwork, and recognition. Employees aren’t just workers — they’re part of a family that values initiative, honesty, and growth. If you want to be part of a brand that believes in promoting based on values, not just experience, The Capital Hotels is where you belong.

At The Capital, decisions are made fast, talent is rewarded quickly, and everyone works together as “doers” rather than being managed from above. It’s a place where you can build a career while doing what you love — creating memorable experiences for guests.

About the Food & Beverage Waiter Role

As a Food & Beverage Waiter, you’ll be one of the first faces guests see — setting the tone for their experience. You’ll serve food and drinks in the restaurant, room service, and function areas in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.

This position focuses on two main areas: front-of-house service and stock management. You’ll ensure that every meal and beverage served meets the hotel’s high standards while keeping operations smooth and organized.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys connecting with people, stays calm under pressure, and takes pride in delivering top-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily duties will include:

  • Serving guests in the restaurant, room service, or at special events quickly and professionally.
  • Taking accurate food and drink orders and ensuring all items are served correctly.
  • Assisting with setting up and clearing tables, keeping service areas neat and well-stocked.
  • Managing stock responsibly and helping ensure supplies are always available when needed.
  • Communicating effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Maintaining a friendly and respectful attitude toward all guests and team members.
  • Handling guest requests, concerns, or complaints in a professional and caring manner.
  • Supporting the food and beverage team during busy periods to ensure excellent service.
  • Upholding The Capital Hotels’ values of discipline, respect, and attention to detail at all times.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential.
  • Ability to handle pressure and solve problems quickly.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Excellent communication skills with both guests and colleagues.
  • High levels of honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
  • A presentable, confident, and well-spoken personality.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward work.
  • Must be flexible and able to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Please note: If you live outside the city where the hotel is located, relocation costs will be at your own expense.

Salary and Benefits

Successful candidates can expect a monthly salary between R5,500 and R6,500, depending on experience and performance. In addition to this, The Capital Hotels provides an inspiring work environment that promotes growth, development, and recognition.

Here, promotions are based on merit and values, not just years of experience. You’ll be surrounded by a supportive team that believes in making hospitality exciting and rewarding again.

Why Work at The Capital Hotels

At The Capital Hotels, staff aren’t just employees — they’re the heart of the business. You’ll be part of a team that believes in open communication, respect, and continuous improvement.

Here’s why employees love working at The Capital:

  • Everyone’s voice matters — from waiters to managers.
  • Hard work and good values are noticed and rewarded fast.
  • You’ll gain experience in a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • You’ll grow both personally and professionally in a company that’s changing how the industry works.

The Capital Hotels is not just offering a job — it’s offering a chance to be part of something bigger.

Who Should Apply

This position is perfect for young, enthusiastic individuals who want to start or grow their career in hospitality. Whether you’ve worked in restaurants before or are ready to take your next step in a hotel setting, this opportunity will help you learn, develop, and shine.

If you’re reliable, respectful, and driven to make guests feel special, The Capital Hotels wants you on their team.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should submit their applications before 5 November 2025. Ensure your CV clearly shows your hospitality experience, communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
