  • Location: Various Capital Hotels (relocation at own cost if applicable)

Role Purpose

As a Receptionist at The Capital Hotels, you will be the first point of contact for guests — setting the tone for their entire stay. Your warm welcome, professional attitude, and attention to detail will help create a positive and memorable experience for every visitor.

You’ll ensure that guest check-ins and check-outs run smoothly, handle reservations, and assist with guest inquiries, all while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.


What You’ll Be Responsible For

As part of the Front Office team, your key duties will include:

  • Welcoming guests and managing check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Maintaining and updating guest accounts throughout their stay.
  • Processing payments and transactions accurately.
  • Handling guest special requests and needs with care and professionalism.
  • Assisting with room reservations and booking queries.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting front desk area.
  • Providing information about hotel services, local attractions, and transport options.

Your role is all about service excellence, ensuring guests feel valued, comfortable, and well looked after during their stay.


Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
  • Hospitality Qualification or a similar certificate (advantageous).
  • 1–2 years of experience as a hotel receptionist or front desk agent.
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Office and Protel PMS preferred).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A hands-on problem-solving approach with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Must be honest, trustworthy, and professional at all times.
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Presentable, well-spoken, and a team player.
  • Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and diplomacy.
