Now, they are looking for someone to join their Facilities team as a General Worker.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a General Worker, your job will be to help take care of the offices and shared areas. You don’t need a degree or fancy skills – just the ability to work hard, pay attention to detail, and keep things clean and tidy. Here’s what you will be expected to do:

Daily Office and Workspace Cleaning

• Clean offices, boardrooms, and front desk areas.
• Sweep, mop, and polish the floors.
• Dust and wipe down desks, furniture, and equipment like computers.
• Clean glass, mirrors, and windows.
• Sanitize things that people touch often – like door handles and light switches.

Restroom and Kitchen Cleaning

• Clean and refill restrooms and kitchens.
• Sanitize toilets, sinks, fridges, microwaves, and coffee machines.
• Do deep cleaning in kitchens every week.

Managing Waste Properly

• Empty trash bins and make sure the rubbish is sorted the right way.
• Report any problems like pests or blocked bins.

Health and Safety

• Use cleaning products safely and wear gloves or masks when needed.
• Report anything broken or unsafe.

Taking Care of Cleaning Supplies

• Tell your manager when supplies are running low.
• Keep all cleaning tools in good shape and in the right place.

Professionalism at Work

• Always wear your uniform and look neat.
• Be quiet and respectful, especially during meetings or recordings.
• Never share private office information.

What You Need to Have

To be the perfect person for this job, you need the following:

• A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of cleaning or general work experience. It’s even better if you’ve worked in an office or media place before.
• Knowing how to use cleaning tools like vacuums or floor polishers helps a lot.
• You should understand how to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
• You must be strong enough to carry light equipment.
• You need to be trustworthy, work well without someone watching over you, and be on time every day.
