Main Purpose of the Sales Associate Position

The main purpose of this role is to deliver excellent customer service while driving sales and building long-term customer relationships. As a Sales Associate, you will represent the Totalsports brand on the shop floor and make sure every customer feels welcome, supported, and confident in their purchase.

You will also help the store meet sales targets and ensure that the store is always well-stocked, organised, and ready for customers.


What You Will Be Doing Every Day

As a Sales Associate (40hr), your daily tasks will focus on customers, products, and store performance. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Acting as a brand ambassador and creating a positive customer experience
  • Helping customers find the best products that suit their needs
  • Exceeding customer expectations through friendly and knowledgeable service
  • Actively tracking your sales performance against store targets
  • Selling a wide range of sportswear, footwear, and accessories
  • Keeping up to date with the latest fashion, décor, and sport trends
  • Looking for opportunities to increase sales and recommend additional products
  • Assisting with stock replenishment to keep shelves full and attractive

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirement:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
