What Does a Train Conductor Do?

As a Train Conductor at BOC, your job is to keep the train safe and running smoothly. You’ll work closely with the train driver and assist in handling daily tasks that ensure passengers are safe, informed, and happy. You’ll also be responsible for ticket checking, assisting during emergencies, and handling passenger inquiries.

This role is perfect for people who are calm under pressure, physically fit, and enjoy working with both systems and people.

Key Responsibilities:

Help make sure train operations run smoothly
Follow all safety rules and make sure others do too
Support the train driver in safety and operational tasks

A valid South African driver’s license
