Purpose of the Cleaning Supervisor Role

The main purpose of the Cleaning Supervisor position is to supervise and oversee the daily operations of the cleaning site. You will be responsible for ensuring that all cleaning services meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while maintaining consistent quality standards.

This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage staff, systems, and assets effectively. You will also act as a link between staff on site and management, ensuring smooth communication and accountability.


What the Cleaning Supervisor Will Be Responsible For

As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will manage both people and operations. Your daily responsibilities will focus on quality, discipline, safety, and reporting.

Key duties include:

  • Ensuring work schedules and job cards are in place for every position on site
  • Making sure job cards are relevant, updated, and followed correctly
  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure consistently high service standards
  • Ensuring all staff are correctly dressed, neat, and wearing name badges
  • Reinforcing the importance of professional appearance and company image
  • Making sure cleaning methods are strictly followed according to company policies and legislation
  • Managing company assets by performing monthly spot checks on high-value equipment
  • Ensuring all equipment is well maintained, serviced, and repaired when required
  • Performing daily site checks and following up on outstanding issues
  • Reporting maintenance and safety concerns to management on a daily basis
  • Maintaining personal hygiene, health, and professional appearance
  • Managing daily staff clocking and assignments on the PRP platform
  • Managing daily system usage, software applications, and reporting tools
  • Handling daily emails and responding within required turnaround times

This role requires strong organisation, consistency, and the ability to lead by example.
