🛡 Your Role as a Retail Security Officer

As a Retail Security Officer, your mission is to ensure the safety of the store, employees, and customers. You’ll be the first line of defense against theft, fraud, and other security threats. Your presence will help create a secure shopping experience for all.

✅ Your Key Responsibilities

✔ Monitor CCTV cameras and store activity to detect suspicious behavior.
✔ Patrol the store (inside and outside) to ensure security at all times.
✔ Prevent theft and fraud by identifying and stopping shoplifters.
✔ Work with store management and law enforcement to report and document incidents.
✔ Respond quickly to emergencies (medical issues, fights, or disturbances).
✔ Control access to restricted areas within the store.
✔ Verify identification of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
✔ Write detailed reports on incidents and observations during shifts.
✔ Assist customers with inquiries and provide directions when needed.
✔ Operate security equipment, including CCTV systems, alarms, and radios.
✔ Ensure all security systems are functioning properly.
✔ Follow company security policies and legal guidelines at all times.

🎓 Who Can Apply? (Minimum Requirements)

To be considered for this position, you must have:

✔ Grade C PSIRA Registration (Valid & Up to Date)
✔ Grade 10 or higher qualification
✔ Excellent communication skills in English (both written & spoken)
✔ Knowledge of search procedures and security protocols
✔ Neat and professional appearance
✔ Reside in or near the specified area
✔ Previous security experience (preferred but not required)
