Valterra Platinum Vacational Work Programme

Valterra Platinum invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Vacational Student Work Programme in the Engineering Discipline. This opportunity is open for a limited number of students, and the closing date for applications is 15 December 2025. If you are studying engineering and want real workplace exposure that connects your studies with actual mining operations, this programme may be exactly what you’ve been hoping for.

Understanding the Purpose of This Programme

Valterra Platinum, part of the Amandelbult Complex, created this two-month vacational programme to help students gain hands-on skills that universities often cannot provide. Instead of only learning from textbooks or lectures, students will work with real teams, real machines, and real challenges. The goal is to help learners understand what the mining world looks like behind the scenes.

This programme also supports students who need experience to strengthen their future job applications. Companies in South Africa usually prefer candidates with some form of practical training, so this opportunity can truly boost your confidence and your CV.
