About the Role

The Warehouse Assistant will play a key role in keeping stock organized and available for different outlets across the GrandWest complex. Your main responsibility will be to move and transfer stock from the warehouse to various locations, making sure everything runs smoothly and there’s always enough stock to meet operational needs.

You will also be responsible for keeping the warehouse clean, safe, and well-organized according to the company’s policies and health regulations. This job requires attention to detail and a good understanding of how to handle products correctly.

Main Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Assistant, your daily tasks will include:

• Collecting the picking list from the stock controller and issuing goods correctly following company procedures.
• Packing and rotating stock to ensure older items are used first and nothing goes to waste.
• Moving and transferring stock between the warehouse and various outlets within the complex.
• Storing goods safely in line with health and safety rules.
• Keeping storage areas and equipment clean and well-maintained.
• Taking part in monthly stock counts and helping with recounts when needed.
• Reporting any damaged or expired stock immediately to management.

This position plays a big part in keeping operations running smoothly, so it’s important to be accurate, efficient, and trustworthy.

What You Need to Apply

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

Education:

• At least Grade 10 (or equivalent qualification).

Work Conditions:

• Must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to move heavy stock safely and correctly.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Basic product knowledge and understanding of stock management.
• Knowledge of stock control procedures.
• Understanding of SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) requirements.
• Good numerical skills for counting and record-keeping.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Basic computer skills, especially MS Office Suite.

Core Behavioral Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail when handling stock.
• Ability to follow instructions and company procedures carefully.
