Job Specifications
As a Wash Bay Attendant Trainee, you will be responsible for keeping logistics trucks clean and ready for their next trip. Here’s what you’ll do:
1. Operational Effectiveness
- Truck Cleaning: You’ll clean the inside and outside of the trucks, including the cab, tyres, rims, and more.
- Equipment Maintenance: After your shift, ensure all washing equipment is stored properly.
- Reporting: Report any damages to pressure hoses or other equipment, and monitor soap levels.
- Safety First: Make sure pressure hoses are clear before trucks leave the wash bay and report any damages immediately.
2. Technical Effectiveness
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality checks and inspections on the job and fleet as needed.
- Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all tools and machinery are safe and functional.
3. Housekeeping and Safety Standards
- Incident Management: Participate in investigations and report hazards in the workplace.
- Hygiene and Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and keep your work area clean.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear the correct PPE in accordance with company policy.
4. Teamwork
- Team Player: Actively participate as a member of the team and be ready to take on any additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
