As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests—welcoming them, helping with bookings, and making sure their stay is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Job Overview – Receptionist
The receptionist at Bataleur Bushveld Camp will report directly to the Duty Manager. This position involves handling guest check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, answering calls, and assisting with guest needs and special requests.

Requirements
To apply, you must have:

A Diploma in Tourism Management or an equivalent qualification
Strong telephone, people, and administrative skills
Good interpersonal skills and professionalism
Computer literacy, with experience in MS Word and MS Excel
Knowledge of the Room Seeker system (advantageous)
Previous front office experience
Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Key Responsibilities

Guest Communication: Answer and handle all telephone calls promptly, and relay messages when needed.
Front Desk Operations: Welcome guests warmly and process their reservations through the check-in and check-out process.
Billing & Payments: Charge for any extra services guests use and ensure payments are collected according to company policy.
Information & Upselling: Inform guests about camp facilities and encourage them to book extra activities.
Reservation Updates: Assist with booking changes and special requests.
Problem-Solving: Handle guest complaints and requests quickly and efficiently.
Administration: Maintain records, handle paperwork, and keep the reception area organized.
Professionalism: Follow the company dress code and conduct guidelines at all times.

Salary

R13,224.78 per month
