🚧 Job Summary: EPWP Worker (X110 Posts)

  • Position Type: Temporary (EPWP)
  • Work Days: Monday to Friday (5 days per week)
  • Base Stations: Wards 13 to 31
  • Pay Rate: R130 per day
  • Contract Duration: 12 Months

🧹 Job Purpose

As an EPWP worker, your duties will include:

  • Waste collection and litter picking
  • Street cleaning and general community cleanup
  • Basic municipal road maintenance
  • Participating in other identified local community development projects

This role is important in keeping your area clean and helping the municipality improve service delivery. You’ll be part of a team of 110 workers spread across various wards — building better, safer communities together.


⚠️ Work Conditions

  • Most of the work will take place outdoors
  • You’ll work in sunny and rainy conditions
  • You’ll be using cleaning and maintenance tools and equipment
  • Be prepared to walk long distances daily

✅ Who Can Apply?

To be considered for these EPWP posts, you must meet all the following requirements:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Live in one of the following specified wards (13 – 31) within the Elias Motsoaledi Municipality
  • Must come from a destitute or indigent family
  • Be willing and physically fit to work outdoors and walk long distances
  • Must NOT have participated in previous EPWP or CWP programmes at the municipality
