What You’ll Be Doing Every Day
As a Receptionist Trainee, your main job will be to make sure the front desk runs smoothly. You’ll be the first person people see or speak to, so it’s important to be professional, friendly, and organised.
Here’s what your tasks will include:
- Answer and screen phone calls in a polite and professional way.
- Direct calls to the right departments and give information when needed.
- Take clear messages and make sure they get to the right people.
- Welcome visitors and help them get where they need to go.
- Handle faxes, make copies, and help with printing or binding documents.
- Do typing work when asked by your supervisor.
- Keep the reception and office area tidy and organized.
- Help with filing and organizing documents.
- Manage entry into certain office areas.
- Help with general admin work as required.
