Qualifications You Need

To be considered, you’ll need:

Essential: A Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate.
Preferred: Training in Clinical Practice Guidelines as set by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). If you haven’t completed this yet, don’t worry—you can finish it during your probation period.

Experience Counts

Here’s what we’re looking for in terms of experience:

Essential: 6 months to 1 year of road-based Basic Life Support (BLS) experience.
Preferred: 2 years of experience in road-based BLS.
