What You’ll Be Doing at Eskom:

As a Senior Inspector Security at Eskom, you’ll play a key role in protecting the company’s assets and ensuring safety at the Lethabo Power Station. Your main job will be to carry out various security duties, including patrolling, access control, and emergency response. You’ll also be part of a team dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone at the power station.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Access Control: Manage who enters and leaves the power station, ensuring only authorized personnel have access.
  • Patrolling: Regularly patrol the premises to spot any potential security threats.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond quickly and effectively in case of any emergency situations.
  • Guard Duties: Stand guard at key points within the facility to deter any unauthorized activities.
  • Housekeeping: Help with general housekeeping tasks like cleaning firearms and conducting safety checks.

What You Need to Apply:

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:

  • Education: You must have completed Grade 12.
  • Experience: You should have at least 2 years of experience in security-related tasks such as guarding, patrolling, and access control.
  • Registration: You need to be registered with the Private Security Industry Regulation Authority (PSIRA) at Grade C level.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge of Eskom’s policies and systems, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage stakeholders are crucial. Training from SAPS (South African Police Service) or SANDF (South African National Defence Force) would be an advantage.
