What Will You Do as an Operations Assistant?

Your job will be to support the MMU Controller and ensure everything runs smoothly and safely. Here’s what your day-to-day tasks could include:

• Helping the MMU Controller operate the MMU truck to meet daily tasks and client needs.
• Checking the trucks and plants regularly to ensure everything meets safety standards.
• Helping with blasting tasks like measuring blast holes, closing charged holes, and guarding during blasting.
• Keeping the work site clean and tidy — especially trucks, the truck park, and the wash bay.
• Loading and unloading explosives and accessories carefully and following safety rules.
• Following all legal safety rules while working at the depot.
• Supporting in charging duties on-site and making sure equipment is handled safely and correctly.
• Making sure the MMU trucks are clean and maintained to top standards at all times.

What Do You Need to Apply?

• Grade 12 (Matric certificate) – this is a must.
• Code B driver’s license – you must be able to drive.
