Job Overview:

As a Cleaner at AFMS Group, your role is to ensure that our corporate office spaces remain clean, safe, and welcoming. Your tasks will involve cleaning offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, restrooms, and common areas. You’ll help us create a healthy work environment for everyone who uses the office – from employees to visitors.

What You’ll Do:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • General Cleaning: You’ll be responsible for cleaning different areas within the office. This includes offices, meeting rooms, break areas, kitchens, restrooms, and internal windows.
  • Surface Care: Dust, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces to maintain a hygienic work environment.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors to ensure that everything is spotless and safe for everyone.
  • Waste Management: Empty waste bins regularly and make sure that waste is disposed of properly.
  • Cleaning Inventory: Keep track of cleaning supplies and notify your supervisor if anything is running low.
  • Follow Procedures: Use checklists and follow the company’s cleaning procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Always ensure that your cleaning practices follow health and safety standards.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Special Cleaning Projects: Occasionally, you may be asked to assist with bigger cleaning projects that are directed by management or your supervisor.
  • Training: Attend training sessions to improve your cleaning skills and knowledge of tools and equipment.
  • Feedback: Provide feedback on the cleaning process to help improve the quality of the services we offer.
  • Team Collaboration: Work together with other team members, office staff, and clients to make sure everything runs smoothly.
  • Familiarity with Layout: Get to know the office layout to clean efficiently and effectively.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Education: Minimum Grade 10 (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Previous cleaning experience in a corporate or commercial environment is preferred.
  • Hygiene Practices: A basic understanding of hygiene practices and proper waste disposal is important.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with cleaning products, their uses, and safety protocols.

  • Independent Worker: You should be able to work alone and manage your time well.
  • Motivated & Hardworking: Show a strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks on time.
  • Task-Oriented: You should be good at prioritizing tasks and handling multiple jobs at once.
  • Detail-Oriented: Pay attention to the little things to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Proactive: Spot cleaning needs before they become a problem.
  • Professional: Always follow company cleaning protocols and interact politely with others.
  • Physical Ability: This role requires you to do physical cleaning work, so being hands-on is a must.

  • Service Quality: Ensure your cleaning matches business needs and meets client expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively seek feedback to improve your cleaning services and performance.
