Minimum Requirements to Qualify

To be considered for the ALPLA Plastics Technician Apprenticeship, you must meet the following entry criteria:

  1. Matric / Grade 12 certificate with:
    • At least 50% in Mathematics and 50% in Physical Science (Maths Literacy will not be accepted).
  2. Engineering studies with relevant trade theory in:
    • N2 – N3 Mechanical or Electrical fields.
  3. NCV Level 2 – 4 related engineering studies completed at a TVET college.
  4. N3 or higher in engineering studies will be an added advantage.
  5. Applicants must submit:
    • Updated CV.
    • Certified copy of Matric results or statement of results.
    • Certified copies of relevant qualifications.

These requirements ensure that all applicants have a strong foundation in engineering, giving them the best chance of success in this demanding and rewarding programme.
