Key Duties You Will Handle

As an Assistant Building Manager, you will be trusted with responsibilities that matter. Some of the things you’ll be doing include:

  • Building Inspections & Safety: Making sure buildings are safe, secure, and well-maintained every day.
  • Tenant Support: Helping tenants when they move in, assisting with maintenance requests, resolving complaints, and making sure they have proper services like internet access.
  • Staff Supervision: Working with cleaning and security teams, checking their performance, and ensuring policies are followed.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitoring rent collections, utility costs, and basic procurement for the building.
  • Inventory & Stock Management: Keeping track of supplies, placing monthly orders, and making sure stock levels are accurate.

This role will give you a good balance of office tasks, people management, and problem-solving.


Requirements to Apply

The learnership is open to candidates who meet the following:

  • Education: At least an NQF Level 4 qualification (this is essential).
  • Experience: No formal work experience is required, but if you’ve been exposed to property or facilities environments before, it’s a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, CRM platforms, and Asset Care Management Systems will help you succeed.
