  2. Aeronautical Information Management Officer (AIMO) – Provide critical aviation information that helps pilots and controllers.
  3. Target Generating Officer (TGO) – Work with data and systems that guide air traffic.
  4. Airport Management Centre (AMC) Liaison Officer – Act as a link between operations and airport management.
  5. Simulator Support Officer (SSO) – Assist with flight and traffic simulators for training.

Each of these roles is highly respected and plays a vital part in aviation.

Job Description

Applicants will receive extensive training and hands-on experience in air traffic management. The programme is designed to build your confidence, sharpen your skills, and prepare you for a career in aviation.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the ATNS Training Programme 2025, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A Matric certificate with a pass in:
    • Pure Mathematics (Level 4 or HG-D / SG-C and above)
    • English (Level 4 or HG-D / SG-C and above)
  • Must be a South African citizen with a valid ID.
  • Must be medically fit and willing to undergo a medical assessment (for ATSO stream).
  • Must attach your Grade 12 results when applying.
  • Be willing to relocate anywhere in South Africa if required.
  • Must be unemployed youth.
  • Applicants who previously joined a similar ATNS programme will not be considered.
