About the Job

The General Worker role at Barron is a hands-on position designed to support the day-to-day operations in the production environment. This role includes various essential tasks to keep production running smoothly, from moving stock to unpacking and packing products, cleaning garments, and maintaining the workspace.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Worker, you’ll be responsible for a range of tasks that keep the production line moving efficiently. Here’s a breakdown of your duties:

Stock Movements: You’ll move stock between different areas to ensure items are readily available where they’re needed. This includes taking items to and from storage and workstations.

Racking and Off-Racking Garments: For garments being branded, you’ll be responsible for racking them onto the auto printing machine and removing them once branding is complete. After that, you’ll place them in a curing tunnel to ensure the print sets properly.

Unpacking and Packing Stock:

Unpacking: You’ll unpack stock and inspect items to make sure they match the job card’s details and quality standards.

Packing: Once quality-checked, you’ll pack branded items, verifying they match the client’s specifications.

Cleaning Garments: Using small embroidery scissors, you’ll remove any threads and backing from embroidered garments, ensuring they look clean and professional.

Cutting Material: Using a cutting machine, you’ll cut material according to specific templates, helping with the initial stages of production.

Housekeeping: A clean and organized workspace is essential. You’ll maintain equipment, keep your work area tidy, and help ensure the factory floor is safe and clean.
